He likes to cover his hands and toys in the dough. He always asks Mommy to make snakes (he calls them "nakes") and balls. He uses the dough balls to build snowmen and towers.
Annie is thriving in preschool. She had a really fun week. The theme for the week was Ice Cream. They made ice cream in individual baggies. Annie got to color hers pink with food coloring. They made paper ice cream cones and painted ice cream cones with home made puffy paint. The colors of the month are orange and black - so every day she wants to wear those colors, and she asked Mommy to paint her nails orange too. She loves coming home with papers and projects to show us.
Lily is doing great in school. She has made her first friend who is not someone from our street. Her name is Katelyn and we have a play date set up with her for next week. Lily loves spelling and reading the best and always brings home 100% spelling tests. She has learned so much in the few short weeks of school. We are all excited for her skills in reading and writing to grow!
Tommy is still hit and miss in the sleep department. At least he has stopped waking at 3:00 a.m., but he is still waking around 6:00 a.m. and crashing around lunch time. Part of it is due to his cold. We all have it and it is hitting Tommy the hardest.
Mommy's cousin Danielle sent a beautiful bouquet. The red, orange and yellow look like a fiery autumn forest. It is just beautiful. Danielle wanted to come for Joey's blessing but couldn't make it so she sent the flowers.
Tommy loves gymnastics but it is sometimes a challenge to get him to start class. Once things are going, he is fine, but there are usually a few tears at the beginning. His balance and attention span have greatly improved. Hopefully he'll get more used to the routine and the teachers so he won't feel so emotional every week.
Baby JoJo hit his two month mark on the 10th. He is still not sleeping great, but he is healthy and happy (unless we put a tie on him and take pictures). His check up is on October 19 so we'll know his weight and height then. He is everything we could hope for in a baby. Just love him to pieces!
We are real southeastern Idahoans now! Jeremy took the kids to a potato glean on Saturday. The farmer tilled up his field and let the public come and take what they needed - up to 200 pounds - absolutely free. The kids liked getting dirty and finding funny looking potatoes. Mommy couldn't go because she had a baptism to help with. Maybe next year. Daddy said there were cars and people as far as he could see.
This weird little guy was Annie's favorite potato. She couldn't wait to show it to Mommy. But she was more excited to eat them. We had ribs and mashed potatoes for Sunday dinner thanks to their little harvest. The girls still call mashed potatoes "smashed potatoes". So cute. That's all for now.
