What We've Been Up To - Part Three

We have a lot of new gear around the house now that there's a new baby.  Lily think my Boppy pillow is funny and likes to wear it as a hat to make Daddy laugh.  Annie is always playing with the car seat and fastening all the straps - even when Tommy is not in it.

While Puna was here she developed a cold, bronchitis, and a sinus infection.  She was seriously ill and we were all worried that the kids might get sick too.  Puna decided to stay at a hotel until she felt better.  It was hard on her to be so sick and away from us.  It was hard on me to suddenly be caring for all the kids on my own before I was really healed.  It was hard on Jeremy having to pick up all the slack around the house plus work every day.  It was just....HARD!  But we all pulled through.  The one bright spot was getting to take the girls swimming at the hotel.

This was the view from Puna's room.  Our beautiful Idaho Falls Temple.

Until she was better, Puna had to wear surgical masks at our house.

With Mommy busy a lot, Annie decided to start dressing herself.  This was one of our favorite outfits - headband, flower shirt, leopard pants, and snow boots.

Lily has been taking soccer classes for a few weeks.  She is learning a lot and really likes it.

This past weekend (May 3rd and 4th) we had two church activities.  The first was a Pinewood Derby - for adults.  Jeremy's car is the red one driving in the blue lane.  He named it The Wedge.  He came in first for that heat but did not win the Derby.  It was a really fun night.

The second activity was an auction to raise money for girls' camp.  Jeremy bid on this John Deere windmill for our garden.  The girls think it is so cool.  During the auction the girls had a blast running around the building with the other children from our ward.  Some of my funnest childhood memories are of playing games at the church houses.  It was neat for me to see my kids start making those same memories.

Whew!  All caught up now.  Life has slowed down.  Tommy is healthy and growing bigger before our eyes.  I am nearly healed and happy my Baby Blues didn't last long this time.  We're finding our new family rhythm and loving our new baby boy!
